Local Tourism

Heritage and tourism in Alsace-Vosges

Our holiday cottages are located in the Bruche Valley, an area rich in landscapes, heritage and Alsatian traditions. Here, nature rubs shoulders with traditional villages, local craftsmanship and generous cuisine. From the Bruche Valley, you are halfway between the Alsace plain and the Vosges mountains, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the region. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains in the evening, while still having access to the region's most beautiful tourist attractions.

Nearby villages and tourist attractions

The area surrounding our holiday cottages offers a wide variety of easy-to-organise outings during your stay in Alsace-Vosges. Less than an hour’s drive away, you can discover Obernai, a charming Alsatian town with ramparts, cobbled streets and typical half-timbered houses. Strasbourg awaits you with its iconic cathedral, the Petite France district and the banks of the Ill, perfect for a day of culture and strolling.

Colmar charms visitors with its colourful neighbourhoods, Little Venice and numerous museums that are very popular with families. The wine-growing villages along the Alsace Wine Route invite you to take a leisurely stroll through the vineyard landscapes, while Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, perched on its rocky outcrop, offers exceptional views of Alsace and the Vosges mountains.

The Bruche Valley itself offers a wealth of beautiful sights just a few minutes from the cottages: waterfalls, local museums and industrial heritage complete this tourist offering. These visits are the ideal complement to a stay in a cottage: you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains in the evening while having plenty of ideas for day trips.

Christmas markets in Alsace

Spending a few days in our group accommodation in Alsace during the Christmas period is a unique experience. From late November to late December, the villages are adorned with lights, traditional decorations and wooden chalets selling local crafts, sweet treats and mulled wine.

From our lodges, you can easily reach Strasbourg, home to one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in Europe. Kaysersberg and Riquewihr offer magical settings nestled among vineyards, while Obernai and Colmar are much loved for their warm, family atmosphere.

Staying in the Bruche Valley allows you to enjoy the magic of Christmas while returning in the evening to a peaceful environment, where you can share a meal with your family. It’s a comfortable way to discover the markets without sacrificing the comfort of a spacious holiday cottage.
